DLA claim

I applied for DLA for my daughter in February 2009 and was FINALLY awarded Higher Rate Care and Mobility in November 2009 after being refused completely 3 times. I was driven totally to despair trying to cope with a sick child and dealing with the "system", and had it not been for David, I would almost certainly have been forced to give up as I had hit a brick wall. David took the pressure off me completely and took the claim to appeal. It was miraculously overturned without having to supply any further medical evidence and the eventual back-payment was just over £4,000 which, as you can imagine, was extremely useful!! Thank you so much to David - without him we would have ended up with nothing when it was quite obvious that my daughter was entitled to both components.

DLA Claim

I have just requested the forms to begin the process of applying on behalf of my son who too has NS (since August 09). Is there any advice you can offer in my application? Many thanks, Louise x

Claim

It was good to talk to you the other evening. Glad to be of help. Will talk again soon. David

Thanks Hannah

Vikki's case typified the problems associated with claiming DLA. NON-MEDICAL civil servants making decisions based on assumptions rather than facts. Vikki's case also clearly demonstrates what happens when only the DIAGNOSIS is considered. Glad to have been able to help and glad we had such a positive result. David
